Hi everyone, this is Gary.
Before I get into any skit ideas, I would like to say that My life was changed this weekend. I went to a conference called RUSH, put on by Willow Park Church. Amidst the worship, and skits, and jokes and events, Shane Claiborne stuck out at me. I was taken by every word. Pouring out love, he spoke of the preciousness of the poor and broken, and the importance of the starving children to God.
I think that humor is good (Prov 17:22), but I think that we need to get serious about getting some info across about the people that Jesus spent 90% of his ministry ministering to. When feeding small children, you sometimes need to force-feed them the healthy stuff. I'm not at all about unwilling service, but I am for forced information, as faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God! Jesus said, that which you do unto the least of these you do unto me. We have all walked by Jesus on the street.

God bless! Its time to shut down religious boxes!

I have a skit idea. I'm thinking of a "That which you do unto the least of these, you do unto (Jesus)" skit.

It would need to cast at least four characters:
-Christian Person
-Homeless Person(2)
-Jesus

*Scene #1
The Christian is walking down the street and sees a Homeless person. The homeless person declares hunger. The christian kind of mutters and shrugs. Keeps on walking. Homeless person slumps in despair.
*Scene #2
Christian is sitting at home with head down. Jesus standing in front of him. Christian looks up, startled slightly, until he realizes it is Jesus, at which point he bows down. Christian says " Jesus! I worship you!"
Jesus says "Then why did you not keep my commandment to love your neighbour as yourself?"
Christian: "I do Lord! I encourage my brothers and sisters at church, and I honor my parents, and my boss. I do what my pastors tell me to do!"
Jesus:"Would you leave yourself hungry on the side of the road?"
Christian:"No." (looking a little sheepish as he begins to realize what he is talking about. He lowers his head.) "Jesus, please forgive me!"
Jesus:"Your forgiven."
Christian:"I'm just so afraid to..."(raises his head to see that Jesus is gone. Lowers his head back down. Then stands up with resolve Heads for the door)
*Scene#3
Christian walking down the street looking for homeless person. Sees homeless person slumped against a building. Tries to wake him, but he is dead. After short repentance/mourning, christian sees another homeless person, and goes over to give a sandwich, and talk.

Thats it. I figure it will show that if you miss it, there could be consequences, but that there will always be another person to minister to.

I think this one would be good for evangelistic training.

God bless!
Gary
