It's been a while

Lance,

Thanks for reviving things here. It's time to have a forum where people can come and talk about God, outside of the church. What I mean by that is, let's not just talk about Him at church, and then switch to sports or food or whatever, when the music stops and we go home.

Jerry Savelle hit the nail on the head last week, when he said: "If you are not seeing all the blessing that the Lord has for you, then you probably don't understand your covenant". That was a powerful statement, and has got me thinking. I need to understand my covenant better. I don't want to live my life like these guys: Ephesians 2:12. Man, I need God in my world, don't you?!

God Himself has sworn in blood, to bless me and keep me and heal me. He can't break that oath. He swore it by Himself. But what is my part in all that? A covenant is an agreement; I have a part to play in it.

Here are some keys to unlocking the covenant. These are just a couple of things that I believe the Lord has dropped on me while meditating on these things (there's more to come too and maybe you would like to add your own):

1) Meditate on the covenant daily and claim its benefits - get them working by the words of my mouth;

2) Jesus summed up all the law and the prophets here: Matthew 22:37-40. The love walk is our part of the bargain - it activates the covenant for us. Walking in love fulfills all the law and the prophets. It makes faith work.
